A classic!

I almost found the game depressing. 500 people in the stands, and I almost (almost) felt sorry for EMU. Now Toledo, that was a different story. I wanted to run it up on them, make it so their fans had the suicide hot line on speed dial. At home, in front of 20K, on national TV….I watched that game again on Thanksgiving.

The EMU announcers were great. They were funny, especially in light of the fact their team was down by like 50 at any giving point. (They noted that NIU covered the over by themselves).Plus they gave a lot of love to the Huskies.

What can anyone tell me about Miami of Ohio, I see that the Redhawks only beat EMU by 7. I know that is not always an accurate barometer, but it sure gives me some hope.

M of O had a lot of close games in the MAC

If we play our game and execute, the Dec 3rd game should not be close. Of course, I’m a little biased here, but I really believe the HUSKIES are the “primo” team in the conference this year. This team has shown up every week and performed.
I can’t remember an NIU team that has this much overall TEAM SPEED

Bowl opponents: it won’t be La Monroe, thank God, they lost today……in checking CBS and ESPN, predictions range from Louisville, Boston College, Notre Dame as potential opponents……maybe Troy from the SunBelt (we played them back in 2004 in the “power outage” bowl)

Also saw Boise State mentioned. Huskies, anyone, anytime, anywhere. We’re D-1; we should act like it.
