Here is what I see for scheduling next year.
Home: WMU, EMU, Ball St and one game against one MAC East Team. My educated guess is between Ohio, Miami OH and Kent St.
The WMU game looks to be the most difficult out of the MAC West teams at home next year.
EMU will be better than this year but still looks to be an attendance average killer unless it is homecoming or we are ranked and play them before Halloween.
Ball St will not be better than this year and looks to be an attendance average killer unless it is homecoming or we are ranked and play them before Halloween.
The Miami OH game at Huskie stadium would be a huge fan favorite. Sort of like the BGSU game in 04.
Ohio at Huskie stadium would be the most difficult of the three that I see because they actually kept their coach. I think Ohio should be a front runner for the East next year so this may be this years Temple game. Lets hope more fans would show up this time.
Kent St would be the least desirable match-up as far as being interesting but may be an acceptable homecoming game.
AWAY: Toledo, CMU, MAC and two games against two unknown MAC East Teams. My educated guess is between Buffalo, Temple and BGSU.
Coach Doeren will get introduced to the Toledo rivalry at the Glass Bowl. I expect Toledo to be a much better team and will also have a little extra juice after the beat down the Huskies gave them this year.
CMU will be a better team than they were this year. This is not that far of an away game to travel to and I recommend to make the trip if this game is before Halloween as the weather is still fan friendly enough.
Both Buffalo and BGSU won two games this year. BGSU lost to Buffalo and Buffalo lost to EMU. Well Miami OH was 1-11 last year so I guess anything can happen here.
Temple will have a new coach but it may be from within. We will see. This is still a team that will not be a pushover and the extra long trip will also put a strain on the Huskies. Boy I can't wait for UMASS to join in 2013!
