Huskie Hoops Program - where is it going?

Well, just noticed where the Huskies lost to a "depleted" Iowa State team. And I see where Jake Anderson posted 16 pts. against his former teammates.
Where is this program going? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? First, Rob Judson.....then Ricardo Patton. I'd like to say I see a glimmer of hope, but that would be a lie.
It's pretty sad when I sit here and can't wait for Spring football practice and news of signed football recruits. NIU basketball has pretty much become an "empty basket", a clunker, an air ball. It's just SAD.

unless I’m mistaken… the bball coach now makes more than the football coach.
I've seen the basketball team once on tv and once live
and outside of Xavier Silas, the only player on the team I enjoy watching is Nate Rucker.
Honestly, I have no idea how Patton got this kid on the team.

I would think
that the AD is waiting to see how the bball team competes in the mac before firing him. I would honestly not let Patton finish the season if the team is getting beat up in the mac (which they will).
We've got to be at the end of his grace period, right?
He’s in his 4th year, so his recruits are now supposedly coming of age. Of course it doesn’t help when you run off everyone else that was already in the program.
I get that a head football coach has to have time to recruit his players and implement his style, I just don’t think a basketball coach needs the same amount of time, though.

This team is horrible. besides Silas there is no reason to go out and see this team. Rucker is a beast and worth seeing too, but other then that they are a disaster that is embarrassing to watch vs any decent team. I will agree it is bad when i would rather hear how recruiting and waiting for spring football then care about the basketball team. The school wonders why they cant draw students to the convo. Maybe because we have one of the worst teams in the nation. Fire Patton!

with another good win. Granted, it was against Toledo, but we did only have just 2 more wins than them before today.

Missed the 3 game winning streak by 2 points
on the road in Mt. Pleasant with a chance to win it at the buzzer.
Big game saturday against WMU. If they want to compete at all in the West, this game is pretty important.

Going on the road to Buffalo and having an off “night” from Silas. Pretty tough to win under those conditions.
Let’s get back on track at home against Bowling Green. Need to win that one with two road games (MAC East games which are always tough) following.

Lost 3 in a row now
(that 3 point loss to Bowling Green at home is not good)
and it’s not going to get any easier until maybe when Western Michigan comes to DeKalb on the 15th. Gonna have to go to Miami and host Kent St. Good luck.
Hopefully we don’t have to wait until the Seattle game (2/19) to get back in the win column. That doesn’t help us in conference anyway.
