1Q Thoughts
Special Teams gaffes all over the place. Muffed kickoff return (recovered), muffed punt and a running into the kicker penalty.
However, the blackshirt defense has been playing awesome, especially Schiller and Dechane Durante is playing how a safety should play like. Now the offense just needs to move the ball and not turn it over.

Jimmie Ward
Is having a tough time covering White man-to-man.

This was actually Dechane Durante/Jhony Faustin that messed up
My bad.

D looks good toady, so does the O, except for the turnovers of course.
Let’s get going in the second half!
improving
I agree, this defense looks much better, getting pressure and making some plays tipping balls.
special teams mistakes on punts are hurting bad right now
glad to only be down 2, we get the ball coming out in the 2nd half.
What a 2nd half
This is an impressive performance. Hopefully our guys can carry this momentum and this type of play throughout the rest of the season
Holy Shit!
I was surprised when i checked the score at halftime and it was 15-13. I check it now and whaaaaaat?
This is not the same team i watched last weekend.
Life is tough, but it's tougher if you're stupid.

All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE
I have to eat my words….I saw us losing this one by 10-12 pts.
Didn’t get to see the game, was shocked when I saw the 3rd qtr score
Where was this defense over the first 5 games??
700 yds of offense – are you friggin kidding me!
A nice tuneup for our upcoming Road Show……GO HUSKIES!!
Just checked Hustle Belt site
and Bronco fan is in a state of shock…..he’s almost speechless……SWEET
What did Coach D do?
Coach Doeren has made some incredible adjustments on both sides of the ball, particularly on defense where he is using different personell based on down, distance and situation. On O he got back to what this team does well, spread the field and run the ball, and use the running game to set up the pass. However, his best coaching is not what he did, but what he didn’t do…he did not allow the negativity, the nay sayers, the doubters to get into his kids’ heads. When everyone was absolutely ripping this team, Coach D and his staff got to work, kept the faith and showed why NIU is extremely fortunate to have him as the Head Coach.
