Defense didn't look good
It didn’t look like they had an answer to the Toledo offense there but when they got them to 3rd down I thought they might be able to hold them to a FG. Guess not.
Should have thrown a screen on 2nd down

It’s gotten better as personnel changes have been made.

I was telling my kids the same thing. We have lost soooooo many big games in the last minute, I thoroughly expected we’d lose this one on the hook and ladder.
This was one of the best NIU wins; ever. Good job boys, for hanging in there and puling it out, especially over…over….(heeheehee) TOLEDO in the glAss Bowl.

I know our defense is/was completely non-existent but that was quite possibly the best team in the MAC and we just beat them in their own house. 3 out of the last 4, correct?
Whatever. We desperately needed that win and got it. If NIU loses that game, their shot at the MAC Championship would have been over. As it turns out, we’re still in this! And we’re in the drivers seat!!!
