The North Coast Plan: Mid-Season Edition

A 12-Team College Football Playoff Proposal

The North Coast Plan is a proposal where I outlined a 12-team college football playoff. I may be updating the plan as the season goes on.

SINCE LAST TIME
Dropped out: Kansas State, Northwestern, Louisiana-Monroe, LSU.
New this week: West Virginia, Michigan State, Western Kentucky, Florida.

Here's how things stand under the North Coast Plan at the mid-season mark using the Projected BCS Standings (Dated: 10.07.12).

6) Boise State
7) Louisiana Tech
8) Michigan State

Seeds A-H
A) South Carolina
B) Florida
C) Louisville
D) Boise State

GAMES
1st Round Games - Home Sites

Western Kentucky at Louisville
Ohio at Boise State
Florida at Louisiana Tech
South Carolina at Michigan State

*Since there are currently 11 FBS conferences and not the 10 there will be when the playoffs take effect, only 10 projected conference leaders were used in the simulation. If the projected WAC Champ was rated higher than the projected Champ of the conference that that team will be moving to, they were included in the simulation (i.e. Louisiana Tech rated higher than current C-USA leader).
