Doeren sounds pretty harsh in his quotes towards Devon Butler. The whole situation sounds messy. Butler, having already been involved in a shooting that caused him to miss the season last year, is involved in yet another after hours party leaving him injured. This time he was stabbed, but came out ok this time with no serious injuries.
I understand that football players have a strict no-partying policy and it especially hurts Butler that he was tweeting about the party(s). This is apparently the final straw that broke the camel's back. Doeren's a no-nonsense coach and cut Butler without any remorse.
What a strange circle of events leading us to lose a starting linebacker for a second straight year. Pretty unbelievable if you ask me.
