Last week NIU received 2 votes in the coaches poll and was ranked 36th
This week the Northern Illinois Huskies move up one spot in the coaches and now rank 35th with 14 votes now in the Top 25.
In the AP Poll, the Huskies are ranked 37th, receiving 5 votes. The Huskies are also ranked 37th in the Harris Poll and current BCS Standings.
All the Huskies can hope to do to improve their standing is keep blowing out teams like Western Michigan and UMass en route to the Wednesday November 14th showdown vs. Toledo at Huskie Stadium.
The other top ranked teams in the MAC are currently:
The 7-0 Ohio Bobcats are #23 in both the AP and Coaches Polls, moving up from #25 and 27th in voting.
The 7-1 Toledo Rockets are 26th in the AP Poll and 31st in the Coaches. They had 2 votes along with NIU in the Coaches last week, but have jumped the Huskies with a Top-25 win over Cincinnati.
The Kent St. Golden Flashes are now 6-1 as well but received zero votes in this week's polls.
