NIU Huskies vs Akron Depth Chart and Injury News: STINGILY TO PLAY

Depth chart and injury notes for the Northern Illinois Huskies vs Akron Zips matchup on Saturday.

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

I don't like to talk about player arrests, especially when they are silly arrests, but one player in particular is getting a lot of press lately.

Late Monday night it was reported that Cameron Stingily was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for a traffic offense and released with a $225 bail.

In a hilarious title for an article, we found out that he was charged with driving without a license from June. Oh and he was also MAC West player of the week.

Hustle Belt, the Trib and NBC caught on to this story.

HW has both a blog which has video of the Carey press conference yesterday and there's a proper "article" as well.

Carey said Stingily fulfilled his community service, went to his first two court dates and missed the third one. A new court date has been set.

"We’ve taken all the corrective measures that we need to internally and externally and we’re all on the same page with that," Carey said.

Here is the full transcript of Carey's press conference. Here is where he talks about the injured guys:

On the status of Keith Harris
"Yeah I don't know about Keith. Usually I get up here and say day-to-day and I'd like to say day-to-day but with what I did hear today from the medical people, I don't know if he will be ready to go this Saturday. I'm hopeful, but I don't know."

On the health of wide receiver Angelo Sebastiano
"We got some good news on him. I'm not going to go into the tech things with A.J. but he had second third and forth opinions because you only have one neck. So I think all of them came back really well and we'll start progressing him back and I know that's what A.J. wants too which is the most important thing."

On the status of running back Akeem Daniels
"He's day-to-day. I don't know. It's weird. I know he looked good this morning running around. We'll see."

Looks like it's going to be the Cameron Stingily and James Spencer show again vs the Zips.

The depth chart is pretty much the same as last week.
