Rankings: NIU holds steady at No. 14 in the BCS

Northern Illinois stays at No. 14 in the BCS with the MAC Championship coming up this weekend.

Brian Kersey

Another week another stagnant undefeated NIU team in the rankings.

The Huskies are 12-0 and ranked just #14 in the BCS for the second week in the row. The biggest impact in the rankings were Fresno State losing 52-62 to San Jose State and Wisconsin losing 24-31 to Penn State.

The Huskies are up to #18 in the coaches poll from #20 and up to #15 from #17 in the Harris Poll.

The biggest threat to the Huskies right now is UCF, which is still ranked ahead of NIU at #17 in the Coaches poll, but still behind the Huskies at #16 in the full BCS polls.

Again, rankings don't really matter right now. All that matters is the MAC Championship this weekend vs Bowling Green.
